Here I got to work with stylist Alexandra Moonage www.moon-age.net testing model Johanna Dahl at FM model agency and Danille/Nicole Kahlani www.technicolorlondon.com.  It was cold, rainy, dark, but we seemed to pull off and come out with some great images.

The styling is designed to outline the contours of the body or that show off the body through their sheerness with nude/beige colours for the skin.  Ex) Ballet Dancer Costume.

We also wanted to explore the dichotomy of strength and fragility within the body eg. ballet dancers are robust and have magnificent control of their bodies however they are straining themselves at the same time and prone to serious injury eg. damaging and bruising their feet.

The inspiration came from Pina Bausch,
her ethereal beauty, elegance, strength, vulnerability and rawness portrayed through movement taken in and around the overgrown pathways and urban landscape of London (as one big theatre).

As much as I like digital, I love analogue!  Here are the analogue images from the same shoot.

I am finally getting the chance to post the images from a test shoot I did last month with Toma (nevs agency).  She was so lovely to work with and exudes such natural beauty that it felt impossible to get it wrong.  I really love these images of her alongside working with a great team.  MUA: Danielle and Nicole Technicolor www.technicolorlondon.com.  I'm going to post two sets of images, digital and analogue...these ones are digital!

Polaroids

I had to chance to take some polaroids of the shoot last week with Janie and they turned out lovely!  Stillness, light, sex, beauty.  She's got it.

5 x 4

So i've finally decided to get the 5x4 out and at least attempt to try and shoot with it!  I'm still getting used to it but I would eventually love to shoot a series just with 5x4....have a long way to go I believe!  Patience is on my side.

Aaron Levi Simic

So, it's been a long long time since i've posted anything and I would like to start with my dear friend Aaron.  I love this shot of him, it was taken whilst on a shoot I was doing for SID magazine.  I guess this photo could portray everything and nothing at this particular time in his life...even so, he's a beauty.

G to the A

It's been about four months now since i've looked at these images, I haven't seem to find the right time to gather them and work on them.  I took these images over the summer of my grams A, and unfortunately my hasselblad was broken at the time and light leaked all over the place.  So here I am, frustrated about light leaks and delighted to have this woman in my life and photographs of her.  London can be a lonley place and even more lonley when you keep remembering all the beautiful moments you had in the past.  She wanted photographs of her.  G to the A (Grams to the Aitcheson), this is for you.  I want to begin with a few black and white images that I took with the last few rolls of film I had...

 I want to finish off with colour, where I pushed the film from 160 to 400 (along with light leaks and underexposure) you get this intimate, retro feel within her story.  I wanted them to be exactly the way I shot them, no post-production...just as is.  I hope to continue to build a series with my grams until she is looking above, down under.
