Canadian Polaroids
Seems my trip in and around Northern Ontario and Quebec turned out to be a photo series. Here it is in Vrag online magazine issue 2!

Single or Double
So i'm sitting here over thinking.
I have a dilemma, what to do what to do...
Anyways, instead of driving myself completely mad, I'll just post another image that I think may go into my series...not too sure if I should use double portraits or singles.

Inspiration
Stefan Ruiz latest series in Monterrey where an urban subculture of “Cholombianos” are so inspired by the Colombian culture that passes through town, that they’ll do anything to mimic it.

The Great
Great Grandpa Roy, he's 97 and still kickin! This is my mothers grandfather and I was lucky enough to see him today for breakfast in a city called Stratford, just 45 minutes from my hometown. He wrote a book about 2 years ago right after his son (my grandpa's death) about his whole family and his somewhat autobiography. I made sure I got a photograph wit him, with the handy i-phone so the image quality isn't so great but in this case it doesn't even matter. He may be 97, but he's still got it.

Anne Blow
Today I thought about my gram's, more than usual. She passed a couple of years ago, and I lost my best friend. I don't want to get into to much detail about it but here is a song that reminds me of how much I loved her and how much I wish I could see her once again. I will see her, not yet though. Hope you all enjoy this beautiful song by Bill Withers.

Alice Neel
Whilst rummaging through old papers for my research I came across Alice Neel, my sister and I were fortunate enough to see her exhibition last summer on the closing day at the Whitechapel Gallery. I've been trying to find inspiration in relation to my final major project within portraiture and colour scheme, I remembered how much I loved her work (thanks to my sis), so here we go, I present to you, Alice Neel and a selection of her many works from the 1920's to the 1980's
A little bit about her...
Alice Neel was one of the great American painters of the twentieth century. She was also a pioneer among women artists. A painter of people, landscape and still life, Neel was never fashionable or in step with avant-garde movements. Sympathetic to the expressionist spirit of northern Europe and Scandinavia and to the darker arts of Spanish painting, she painted in a style and with an approach distinctively her own.

Kase
Alright, back to it.
Moving forward slowly with this project of mine I was beginning to think that it may not happen as I saw it, but today while shooting the musician Kase, it came together nicely and I believe that its back on track. As I'm sure Ive said in a previous post, everthing changes, nothing will remain stable...learning endlessly.
Here is a preview of some of the shots I took, these two I quite like because they differ so much from one another but at the same time work together well.
